Volunteer opportunity in Africa for accountant

This could be a great opportunity for an accountant looking to get their hands dirty in one of the wildest parts of Africa, Zambia.  If you know anyone who might be interested please pass it on.

WANTED: VOLUNTEER ACCOUNTANT WITH QUICKBOOKS EXPERIENCE TO ASSIST FOUR SMALL NFP/NGO WILDIFE AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS IN WILDEST AFRICA

Spend one month in Zambia near the South Luangwa Game Reserve assisting 4 local Non Profit Organizations set up their accounting systems. This is a fabulous opportunity to see a part of Southern Africa many people only dream about.

Room and board provided by the Zambia Carnivore Program, The Luangwa School Project, the South Luangwa Game Conservation Society and the Chipembele Wildlife Conservation Education Trust

Work one week with each organization and participate in some of their unique programs.

Extensive experience required in Quick Books (or comparable software program) set up and knowledge of Non Profit or NGO needs for recordkeeping and reporting.

A Typical Need by the NGOs

“As the Founding Trustee, Exceutive Director, Teacher, Administrator, Projects Manager and Treasurer of a medium sized NGO I am more than a little overwhelmed with administrative and finance work. I have no financial training and record the accounts on Excel spreadsheets, which is not ideal. I need an accounts package that is tailor-made for NGOs and can easily handle multiple projects, multiple donors, formulate financial reports and statements etc”  Director/Chipembele Wildlife Education
