I’ve finally joined the modern age, got myself a proper website (www.tammiematson.com) and have a new book coming out in a couple of months called “Elephant Dance”. To coincide with its launch in October, I’m getting together with some great friends of mine, artist Nafisa Naomi and film producer Steve van Mil, for an evening of elephantine fun and merriment at the Arthouse Hotel, Pitt Street, Sydney, and this is your official invitation!
The Elephant Extravaganza is on 19th October and it’s all about raising funds and awareness for elephant conservation. Nafisa Naomi is generously donating most of the proceeds from the incredible elephant artworks she’s created to this great cause. You can see some of her work at www.animalworks.com.au – there is something for every budget and every home needs an elephant in it, right? It’s good luck! Plus on the night there will be a special preview of Animal Media Australia’s human-elephant conflict documentary, “Elephant Wars” and also plenty of signed copies of my books up for grabs.
$20 gets you in the door, including a couple of drinks from the bar and nibbles. Tickets are available through the Arthouse Hotel or at the door on the night. Once you’re there you stand to win a whole load of prizes in our giant elephant competition ($20/ticket). Top prize in the competition is a Namibian safari for two people with Wilderness Safaris and Epic Private Journeys worth over $7000!! There are loads of other prizes too and all proceeds go towards elephant conservation…
So put the night in your diary – 19th October, 6pm! More details will be coming soon… but in the meantime, log onto the Animal Works website for more information – www.animalworks.com.au . Please pass this on to anyone you know who might be interested in coming along and put it in your diary! If you can’t see the flyers below, you might need to view in html or drop me a line and I’ll send you them in jpeg.
